Sine Nomine was founded in the spring of 2006, and started rehearsals in the fall. Our first concert was in November of 2006, and our spring 2011 concert kicks off our fifth anniversary season. We are proud to be members of GALA Choruses, one of eight Colorado choruses to celebrate the mission of changing our world through song. Sine Nomine performed as part of a 433-member joint chorus for the 2007 GALA Annual Conference in Denver, and we made our official GALA debut at Festival 8 in Miami, in July 2008. |

About Sine Nomine |

|
Sine Nomine is hosted by the Music Department at Park Hill Congregational UCC. The church’s mission of “creating a diverse community … called to bold acts of compassion and justice” inspires our own mission to use music to create and reflect an inclusive and inviting community. Sine Nomine rehearses at Park Hill UCC on Thursday evenings and prepares two concerts each year, performing in November and May. In addition to our regular concerts, we perform at outreach events in the community to further our mission. |

Sine Nomine is an auditioned ensemble, performing a wide variety of music. We specialize in performing contemporary chamber music—works of living composers, written for ensembles of 16-24 voices. We choose music that highlights our message of hope and optimism, and we strive for excellence in performance. Above all, we joined together five years ago for the pure joy of singing. We welcome new members, as openings arise, in August and January. |

Sine Nomine is a collaborative, consensus-driven organization. Our artistic and organizational leaders work together to ensure that we develop and fulfill our mission with purpose. We work together to define concert themes, select music, rehearse, perform, and build our own community. Our Founding Artistic Director, Robert Bartalot, helped us to link our programming decisions to our mission, and upon his retirement we were proud to select Sharon Littlefield as our Music Director. Ron Williams joined as Interim Music Director in January 2012. |

Sine Nomine welcomes you into our community. We invite you to be part of a world that welcomes people into our midst, believing that each one’s background adds interest and value to us. We look to reflect the world around us, welcoming singers and supporters into our midst, valuing diversity in sexual orientation, ethnic and cultural background, religious and spiritual belief, and experience. If you are interested in joining our chorus, volunteering with our organization, attending future concerts, or hosting us for an outreach event, we look forward to meeting you! |
